(Act 2)

Voice: Young Master Zeerus' Grand Adventure: (Being from the Recollection of the Aformentioned. A diary of events taking place upon an unknown planet.)

Meanwhile, at the bottoms of the cliff, Zeerus yelped, tumbling down and down to the lower levels.

Voice: After narrowly surviving his encounter with the redoubtable Henry Phage, Master Zeerus and his new plant-like companion found themselves hurtling toward the bottom of a very deep gorge.

Finally, he crashed to the ground, freed from the plant.

Voice: It was to be the beginning of a grand adventure, indeed.

He groaned, shaking a bit before standing up.

Zeerus: Huh? Wha?

He yelped, noticing giant spiders beginning to near him.

Voice: our hero immediately escaped a thrashing at the hands of some decidedly rough-looking individuals...

The dinosaur snatched a stick, whacking around the bugs whom screamed in fear, noticing the stick and darting away.

Voice: ...who proved themselves to be complete cowards, scampering at the first sign of trouble.

Just then, the pterodactyl yelped, then looked down to the ground.

Zeerus: Urk?

He gasped, noticing rocks with faces trying to bite the reptilian avian.

Voice: however, Master Z was later surprised by an attack of carnivorous pebbles: cads and boulders all.

The pterodactyl screamed, darting as more face pebbles began trying to bite all over himself.

Voice: What deuced bad luck, he was forced to concede.

Zeerus: AGH!!

Voice: And apparently making an idiot out of himself.

Zeerus: (looks up) Oh shut up!

Later, Zeerus struggled while punching a few fish trying to attack him.

Voice: The natives in these parts immediately proved themselves to be mostly unfriendly types.

One fish was punched, knocked away by the bird dinosaur.

Voice: Although the visitor himself proves to even more unfriendly.

Zeerus was pulled into the waters, yelping as he sunk into the waters.

Voice: But like any trek through foreign climes...

He popped up, gurgling in annoyance.

Voice: ...this adventure was certainly having its ups and downs.

Later, Zeerus growled, glaring as he struggled to head to the mountain with some rock pebbles raining a bit.

Voice: Working his way back up the side of the ravine, though, gave our hero time to ponder certain weighty matters.

He struggled, heading to the side of the mountain before jumping up.

Voice: First, it seemed as though the place was exacting quite a toll on the old grey matter.

He snatched part of the cliff, climbing upward while struggling.

Voice: The hallucinogenic properties of the plant were beginning to wear off and yet, Zeerus found his mind degenerating at every new inch of the climb.

The bird continued upward while a yelping giant spider noticed Zeerus snatching the web.

Voice: Our hero was gradually losing his sense of self: and a saurian sense of self-preservation was now coming to the fore.

Zeerus clenched to the near top rocks, looking seriously.

Voice: As sentience waned and instinct took over, a thought occurred to young Master Zeerus...

He snatched the very top piece, struggling.

Voice: It had been days, perhaps, since the grand adventure had begun. Wasn't there business he was supposed to attend to at the top?

Finally, he climbed to the top, noticing the now drooling and insanish naked reptile licking his chops hungrily.

Phage: Huaaargh...

Voice: Oh yes.

He hopped to the top, preparing himself as he glared at the insane-looking Phage.

Voice: Had Mr. Phage and Master Zeerus given themselves pause for reflection (and had they not begun to quickly regress to an earlier, more primitive version of their respective species, thanks to the effects of both the strange new planet and the Interdimensional Leap) and had this world had a reliable postal service, which you don't see anywhere these days-

Death's Voice: 'ey! What 'bout me?!

Voice: I'm not done yet, idiot! Let me finish. Ahem. Like I was saying, the entire situation might have given rise to a rather amusing postcard for the chaps back home.

Finally, the serpent hissed, drooling while pouncing toward Zeerus. The two grabbed one another while tumbling downward.

Voice: The missive would have gone something like this: Devolving rather nicely, thank you very much. Wish you were here.

The bird and reptile punched one another, growling in pure instinct.

Phage: Grr-argh!!

Zeerus: Hnnn...unh....

Voice: Well let's make things interesting, shall we?

Just then, after a finger snap was heard, the two noticed and yelped, trying to clench to the ground as they were being pulled sideways.

Both: Aaaaaahhhhhh!!

They both crashed to the side, grunting.

Both: Ungh!

The serpent hissed angrily at the avian before preparing himself to pounce.

Phage: RHAAAHHH!! Phage now kill you, Bird-Man!

He pounched toward Zeerus, both struggling.

Voice: Tish pish and piffle thinks a now semi-saurian Master Zeerus.

Both struggled, walking around the giant hill.

Voice: Mr. Phage's threats are meaningless to the young mater, on account of his alarming and rapid descent into idiocy.

Both struggled, continuing to punch and kick one another before the Phage bit on Zeerus' arm.

Zeerus: RAGH!!!

Voice: Besides, in this peculiar environment, one might naturally find it hard to appreciate the gravity of the situation.

As both came down toward the hill, Zeerus snatched the Phage's tail, slamming it down. The serpent glanced, licking his chops before the two tumbled, rolling downward with both biting one another. As that happened, the two were trying to pierce one another with their claws. The avian forced the Phage to release his hold when he kicked the reptile high. Zeerus flew upward with the Phage growling.

Phage: GRRRRR!!

The avian swooped down, hitting the Phage with spikes showing on the latter. The Phage glared, jumping up and snatching his leg. Both tumbled, struggling in the sky.

Zeerus: GRAAAAHHH!!

The two continued fighting in the sky with Zeerus trying to pierce the Phage's heart.

Phage: Hnnngh!!

Zeerus' wing was grabbed before they fell, tumbling downward.

Both: Ungh!

Phage: Grr...

The Phage's eyes were covered with dust, glancing at where Zeerus was. However, in his near blinded vision, he only saw the same image from before.

Phage: (hissing) Boy...mussst die!!

He screeched, jumping to Zeerus with the dinosaur ducking down.

Zeerus: Grah!!

The foes colided, tumbling more with blood spilling from the Phage's jaws whiel Zeerus struggled to push him off with his leg.

Voice: It has been a rather prolonged struggle: a battle of indomitable wills, if you will. Neither esteemed gentlemen has given quarter to his estimate opponent. It has been a jolly good fray, indeed.

The serpent neared his teeth toward the vision of Snake, he saw the vision ending, showing Zeerus with some light glowing from the dinosaur's armor.

Voice: But as our intrepid pugilists make their way down the far side of teh contragravitic mountain, a familiar clearing hoves into view.

Finally, the Phage noticed before he was kicked away from Zeerus.

Voice: And in the center of the clearing, a familiar sight awaits...

Phage: Huh?

Voice: I said a familiar sig...

Phage: (annoyed) I know what you said, stupid!

The growling serpent lied on the ground, tail twitching with him glaring at Zeerus, then at the portal.

Voice: What's a chap to do? Mr. Phage has searched long and hard for a playground such as this world. Here, there are beasts worthy of the chase. Through the portal awaits Kalighoul and 65 million years of cares, worries, and tribulations. Henry Phage faces an internal battle between instinct and conditioning...in which the only winner can be the insistent voice that screams for self-preservation.

The Phage clenched to the ground while Zeerus recovered, noticing the Phage hesistant before only he saw something appearing in a flash of light behind him, not noticing what the figure was.

Figure: (snaps) Oh for crying out loud! Do you REALLY want Ayami to stay dead?! If not, then (shoves him) GO!

The Phage was pushed before he darted to the portal, then vanished into it.

Figure: And thus, the timeline has been set.

Zeerus: Wha...who are you?

Figure: I'd tell you...but then the timeline's going to be comprimised.

Zeerus: Damn!

Zeerus noticed himself being pulled into the portal as he spoke.

Zeerus: Wait...WAAAAIIIT!!

It was too late as the portal sucked Zeerus inside. When he was gone, the figure glanced back, looking at where Death arrived at.

Death: Oh bleedin' hell! You cheated for him, didn't you?

Figure: His mind was going numb due to your stupidity and powers. So HE won obviously. So I guess YOU have to keep your end of the bargain, Death.

Death: (frowns) Ugh. At least he never knew about the daughter he'll never know of.

Figure: He got a daughter?

He chuckled a bit with a sly grin.

Figure: That IS interesting.

He took the body before it rose in the middle.

Death: Anyhow, it's going to be complicated, but I never did SAY what timeline Ayami's soul was gonna be reincarnated at.

The body turned into a white orb of a sort, showing a strange crystal inside the orb.

Figure: Yes...but why not make things...(slyly) INTERESTING?

He snapped what appeared to be a lion paw before Death yelped, noticing pieces of the soul starting to split from the orb with crystal inside.

Death: Hey, you can't do that!!

Figure: Oh why not?

Death: Her soul pieces are gonna be in different people! Who knows which would be her REAL soul.

Figure: Yeah, I figured something like that.

A strange object was shown to him.

Figure: Besides, I have a little something to get me to different timelines, so I KNOW what I'm doing.

It was risen before what appeared to be strange circular portals opened up where the triangular portal was. Each one, including the orb with crystal, were all sent into different areas while Death futilely tried to grab the pieces.

Death: Damn, damn, damn!!

All, but one final portal closed.

Figure: And now...I leave you. Besides, I have a little chaos to take care of back in my OWN time. Ha-ha-ha-ha!

Finally, the figure jumped in, briefly showing the red tail with fluff before it went inside and the last portal closed.

Death: (angrily) Ugh...and I thought that bleedin' moon had problems.

He got on his bike while a portal opened up.

Death: Phage, we'll see each other again. As for that kid of yours...well, we'll wait and see. I guarantee it!!

Finally, the skeleton on bike was gone. Back in Kalighoul, the familiar scientists arrived to the area, gasping as the group saw the groaning Phage, lying naked on the floor.

Matsumoto: Ooooh crap. He looks awful.

Heggis: I know that.

Kanaduske: Something tells me we should back away...NOW!!

As Matsumoto and Kanaduske backed away, Heggis and another man came to him. As he spoke, the Phage slowly opened his eyes, seeing a blurry vision of Heggis, though his vision saw him as Snake.

Heggis: Mr. Phage! Blimey, you've been gone for weeks. We thought you was gone for good, sir! What happened?

Phage: Hissss...(hissing) GRAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!

He snatched the two, slamming their heads and breaking them off.

Matsumoto: (gulps) Yeeeah, for some reason, I figured something like this would happen.

The remaining scientists gulped, backing away as the Phage slowly and wearily left them.

Phage: I...I wish to be left alone at this time...

Back at the altered Earth, the familiar figure reappeared, catching his coffee cup.

Zeerus: -ee.

The crowd watched what had happened, looking confused.

Kamel: Mr. Zeerus, is everything all right? You seemed to um...flit away for a moment.

Zeerus: Everything is fine, Kamel.

The woman held his arm while they and Kamel walked.

Zeerus: It's a...natural trait of my species. We seem to...disappear from time to time.

Kamel: Well, I thank the stars you are not adversely affected by this, Mr. Zeerus.

Zeerus: (grins) On the contrary, Kamel...it was a most...pleasurable experience, indeed.

Kamel: Like your mind was elsewhere for a moment?

Zeerus: Yes and you probably wouldn't believe me even if I told you about it.

Back at Kalighoul, the Phage came to the top, watching the skies while some people watched with him.

Voice: Ah yes...pleasurable indeed. Perhaps less so for Mr. Phage, who could find neither courage nor conviction when faced with the reality of a simpler existence.

On the altered Earth, Zeerus watched the fields of the forest while the birds flew in the sky.

Voice: But for Master Zeerus, a reaffirmation of purpose: a reminder of the reason why he suffers daily indignites...so that one day, his world might once more become a place of grand adventures.

As the voice spoke next, it showed a split of the two reptiles looking at the sky, watching the moon while visions of shadowed figures were seen.

Voice: One thing is certain, thought...when the greatest of adventures comes...the TRUE calling could begin...but THAT is another story of another time...
