SU Remake Omake 3

A/N: This is an omake that takes place outside the continuity of Sonic Underground, featuring the main cast of SU Remake Seasons 1-3 & the upcoming OAVs. Warning: 4th Wall breaking in this Omake. Also, inspired by a CD drama track.

Sonic Underground Omake 3: Night Before Christmas

In a studio, the wind blew rapidly before the doors were closed. Manic shuddered as he felt cold, looking at Tails, Sonic, Knuckles, Sonia, Rouge, Nack, Sally, Bunnie, Mina, Amy, Silver, Blaze, Shadow, and Team Chaotix.

Manic: Yo, dude. That snow's been blowing through the place like a mad house.

Sonia: Great, at this rate, we'll never get the first season of this series done.

Shadow, glancing, frowned at the situation.

Shadow: Hmph, like I would care. You guys get most of the attention through the first season.

Tails: Yeah, you don't even get an appearance 'til Season 3.

Silver: Not to mention me and Blaze don't appear until the upcoming OAVs.

The bear with bird in his bag along with Julie-su, Rodent, Conker, Berri, Rodent, Chris, and the Babylon Rogues came in with some warm treats.

Chris: Well, the only things I get to do throughout the first season and first half of the second season is narrating the upcoming episodes most of the time. And I don't appear until the start of the second half.

Berri: Like that is totally not right.

Banjo: (grins) It's not so bad being stuck in here.

Kazooie: On the plus side, at least we get the day off.

Amy: And we'd get to be near our favorite hedgehog...

Sonic: (annoyed) Amy!

Wave: Besides, I downloaded something we can do until the snow settles.

Storm: Uh, what is it?

Jet looked at the paper as he smirked.

Jet: Hey, it's a Christmas Poem. T'was the Night Before Christmas.

Rodent: (smiles) I love that poem. It brings out the best in the Christmas spirit.

Conker: Hey, I know that poem anywhere.

Sonic: Hey, let's read it while time passes by.

He then took the poem before he began reading it.

Sonic: "Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the land"

Rodent: "Not a creature was stirring, not even Eggman"

Some of them laughed while only Nack looked confused.

Nack: Hey, where did you get this version anyway?

Wave: Sometimes, it's best not to ask.

Knuckles: Mind if I read the next part?

Julie-su: Go ahead, Knux.

Knuckles: "The stockings were hung by the chimney with care"

Julie-su: "In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there."

Storm: Goodie! I can't wait!

Jet: Anyway...moving on...

Tails: "The children were nestled, all snug in their beds"

Vector: "While visions of dumb bots danced in their heads."

Manic: (chuckles) That's referencing Scratch & Grounder, all right.

Some of them chuckled a bit.

Nack: "And my gal in her kerchief and I in my cap
(Not to mention the Boss was with us hunters, too)
Had just settled their brains for a longer Winter's nap"

Charmy: Can I read the next part?

Espio: No. "When out on the roof, there arose such a clatter
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter"

Conker: "Away to the window I jumped like a whale
Tore open the shutter and saw my friend, Tails"

Rodent: I thought I was your friend.

Chris: Moving on..."The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow-"

He then noticed some of the older members chuckling.

Chris: What?

Vector: Uh nothing. Go on.

Chris: "Gave the luster of midday to Tediz below"

Berri: "When what to my half-open eyes should appear"

Jet: "But a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer"

Amy: "With the little old driver so lively and quick"

Sally: "I knew in a moment, it must be St. Nick!"

Bunnie: "More rapid than Sonic his course as they came"

Mina: "He whistled and shouted and called them by name"

Sonic: (annoyed) That really isn't funny, you know.

Some clattering noises were heard on the door before some familiar figures, Scratch, Grounder, Coconuts, Eggman, Sleet, Dingo, Tikal, Nic, Batula, Cream, and Cheese fell to the ground before the door closed behind them.

Blaze: (shocked) Eggman! And those other guys!

Nack: I got this!

He then grabbed one of the snow cones before tossing it, which hit Batula. The vampire squirrel only glanced in annoyance.

Batula: I'm not Eggman, you dolt!

Nack: Who do you think I was actually aiming for?

Shadow: (glares) What are you doing here anyway!?

Nic: We're cold and wet, and even we have to get out of the snow!

The group got up as they dusted the snow off.

Sleet: You're lucky we're not Scourge, Fiona, Mogul, or the Panther King.

Cream: They said they needed some shelter.

Mina: (shocked) Cream, what did I tell you about helping people like them? Especially outside of work?

Eggman: Look, even people like me need to have a day off, you know. Don't you think people should know that?

Coconuts: Ugh, I think I got snow in my ears.

Grounder: Ow...I think I got brain freeze going away from the studio.

Scratch: (annoyed) You don't even have a brain, you dumb bot!

Dingo: (grins) Hi, Sonia...

Sonia: Oy...and it gets more creepier.

Grounder: (gasps) Hey, they got a Christmas Poem!

Eggman: I know this one. It's the Night Before Christmas. And they're at my favorite part.

He took the paper before clearing his throat, reading it.

Eggman: "Now Dasher, now Dancer, now Prancer and Vixen
On Comet, on Cupid, on Donner and Blitzen"

Sleet: "To the top of the porch, to the top of the wall
Now dash away, dash away, dash away all"

Dingo: "As dry leaves, that before the wild hurricane fly"

Cream: (giggles) "When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky"

Cheese: (smiles) Chao!

Silver: (frowns) As we were saying...

Blaze: My turn.

She looked at it as she began reading it.

Blaze: "So up to the housetop, the courses they flew"

Silver: "With a sleigh full of toys and all sorts of goodies, too"

Shadow only sighed.

Shadow: Fine, you win.

He took it next as he read it.

Shadow: "And then in a twinkling, I heard on the rooftop
The prancing and pawing of each little clip clop"

Rouge: "As I drew in my head and was turning around
Down the chimney, St. Nicholas came with a pound"

Coconuts: "He was dressed all in fur from his head to his foot...
(Kinda like me, actually...if I was a real monkey)
And his clothes were all tarnished, like Bat Squirrel's, with soot"

He was only punched in the eye by the angered vampire squirrel.

Coconuts: Ow. What did I say?

Storm: "A bundle of toys he had flung on his back
And he looked like a Freedom Fighter just opening his pack"

Batula: "His eyes, how zey twinkled, his dimples, how merry
His cheeks vere like roses, his nose like a cherry"

Tikal: Do you mind if I read a part next? Such ashame Queen Aleena can't be here to enjoy this.

Nic: Maybe at another get together at some point.

Tikal: (nods) Yeah, even though I do get minor, but important roles in the series.

She looked at the paper as she read it.

Tikal: "His drone little mouth was drawn up like a bow
And the beard on his chin was as white as the snow"

Kazooie: "The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth"

Banjo: "And he smoked it and circled his head like a reef"

Wave: "He had a broad face and a little round belly
That shook when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly"

Nack: (to Batula) Take a hint from this poem when you're in bat form.

Batula: (glares) Are you implying I'm fat!?

Nack: (sarcastically) No, it's Big who's fat. (normal tone) Who do you think I was talking about?

Eggman: Be quiet, you two. We're trying to finish this up and you're both messing up with even my own Christmas cheer.

Nack: "He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf"

Batula: "And I laughed vhen I saw him, in spite of my self"

Charmy: "A wink of his eye and twist of his head"

Rouge: "Soon gave me the note, I had nothing to dread"

Tails: I'm liking this so far.

Nic: "He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work"

Knuckles: "And filled all the stockings then turned with a jerk"

Sonia: "And laying his finger, aside of his nose"

Amy: "And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose"

Manic: "He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle"

Tails: "And away they all flew, like, uh, the down of a thistle"

Sonic: "But I heard him exclaim as he drove right passed by..."

Then, they all turned to the camera with grins on their faces.

All: "Merry Christmas, everyone, especially you girls and guys!"
