Sonic Underground Remake Omake 1: Jailtime Blues
In the prison, some days later, Sleet frown at what had happened earlier.
Sleet: We've had it all. That loot would have been ours if it weren't for that thief!
Dingo: Hey, Sleet, it's all right. I mean some things could have been far worse. Your ex-girlfriend would have appeared.
Sleet: She lied to us...and to think I wanted to propose to that murderer!
In the other side of the cell, Nic glanced at Sleet.
Nic: What are you babbling about?
Dingo: We almost made a clean getaway from what happened tonight.
Nic: Wait, that whole robbing the treasury thing was you guys? Man, that's nothing worse compared to me. I'm only a political prisoner.
Sleet: Amuse us. Why are you in here?
Nic: I kick the stupid duke in the gut for touching my ass! What's not so political about that?
She looked away from them before looking out the cell.
Nic: Anyway, the only bad thing about that was that it wasn't my so-called fiance.
Dingo: Fiance? And what's wrong with him? Sonia has that Bartleby guy and she's in love with him.
Nic: (frowns) I'm not talking about love, I'm talking about marriage. Besides, it was my lady's choice, not mine.
Dingo: Awww, sorry to hear about that.
Nic: Hmph, besides, I can tell you guys aren't doing any better. From what I can tell, you'll probably get robotcised or killed for what you did.
The wolf only scoffed at her, turning his attention to the familiar object he still had: the magenta Chaos Emerald.
Voice: Is that a Chaos Emerald!?
The wolf yelped, noticing three familiar figures as the doors slid open.
Dingo: Oh crap, Dr. Robotnik and his two robot pals!
Robotnik: (glares) How dare you try to steal the Duke's money without me knowing about it!
Bocoe: You are both in serious trouble!
Decoe: And apparently, you will get punishment for this, especially concerning about the Chaos Emerald you have in your possession.
Nic: What the hell's a Chaos Emerald anyway!?
Robotnik: This is none of your concern, Miss Nicolette, especially since your lady will hear from me about what you have offensively done. You'll be banished from this place faster then when the ARK shut down.
Nic: (annoyed) Good, I hate this place anyway! It sucks, the jail sucks, and the people living here suck!
Officers: Hey!
The three came out of the cell.
Sleet: Next time we get thrown in a cell, I'm getting my own.
Nic: Me too, I like my rooms to be private.
The robots took the emerald, examining it.
Decoe: Where did you get this anyway?
Sleet: We stole it from under the Duke's nose.
Dingo: I don't think he knows about that at all.
Robotnik: Hmmm...
He only took the emerald, looking at it.
Robotnik: With these Chaos Emeralds, I could power up my flying fortress...the Death Egg.
Dingo: Death Egg?
Robotnik: Nevermind that...Sleet, Dingo, I have a new mission for you: if you happen to find or come across anything that looks like a Chaos Emerald bring them to me. Six of them will be enough to power my upcoming ship and they'll lead me to the last emerald.
He headed off, but stopped for a moment before turning to Nic.
Robotnik: By the way, Nicolette, spread a word out to anyone and you WILL be roboticised, understand?
Nic: Hmph, who's gonna believe me? Everyone I know thinks Chaos Emeralds are myths anyway. Besides, I'm not even sure if it's a real Chaos Emerald or not.
Robotnik: Oh, it's real all right...and it'll help me find the other emeralds...he-he-he.
The robots followed him out of the place with a sighing Nic starting to head out.
Nic: Looks like I'll be grounded...again.
Sleet: (shocked) Again? You mean it happened many times before?
Nic: Hey, they say living the high life is easy, but I can tell you it's not.
She headed out with the wolf looking concern.
Dingo: Uh, Sleet, I think there's something strange when you reacted a bit with her. Are you starting to-?
However, the wolf punched Dingo in the eye.
Dingo: Ow!
Sleet: She's not my girlfriend! Let's just leave before I start vomiting from that talk.
The dingo rubbed his eye, heading out with Sleet following a bit before stopping a bit, looking at where Nic was for a while before sighing and heading out.
