Sonic Underground Remake OAV Ep 9: Island Adventures Part 1: Race to Win!

Prologue:

Knuckles: (narrating) No matter what path is chosen, there are different roads that we should take. My father had taught me that...my path, however, is to stay on Angel Island and protect the Master Emerald. Somehow, I have a feeling that one event could change my perspective on my destiny...

At the shrine of the Master Emerald, Knuckles only looked at the sky. He only sighed, remembering the image of Sonic and his friends.

Knuckles: If only there was a way to get back to you...I know my duty's suppose to be guarding the emerald, but...

He then noticed something glowing on the ground. He looked at it before picking it up.

Knuckles: Huh? A Chaos Emerald?

Then, two spiritual figures appeared to him.

Knuckles: The Emerald Spirit...and Grandfather Athair!

Athair: Knuckles...I know you are feeling desperate in wanting to leave to Robotropolis, but-

Spirit: I had a vision...this vision wanted you to stay with Sonic and the others.

Athair: However, you still have the task of guarding the Master Emerald...

Knuckles: So...I'm torn between duty and friendship? I only get one choice?

He looked at the red emerald before sighing.

Knuckles: I made my choice: My mother's a better guardian than I was...I've been alone for such a long time, I...I want to stay with Sonic and the others.

He looked down more, looking at an island close by.

Knuckles: Even if it means going at it alone once more...

Then, he felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked up before turning, noticing the smiles on Julie-su, Lara-le, Remmington, and Ray.

Julie-su: You're not alone...just remember that.

Lara-le: Besides, it's not giving up the position...just transferring. And besides...

She pet the dinosaur with them.

Lara-le: Chomps does provide wonderful company.

The red echidna smiled to his friends and mother.

Knuckles: Thank you, everyone.

Athair: I see...I will allow it. Thank you for showing me this vision, young lady.

Spirit: May the spirit of the Master Emerald guide you.

With that, the two vanished from the area before Ray, using binoculars, noticed some figures on the other island, at one area being Scourge with a pig, Lien-da, and a mammoth. The other area had that of a bee, crocodile, and chameleon.

Ray: Hmmm...are any of them with Don Weazo, I wonder?

Knuckles: Only one way to find out. Goodbye Mom and Chomps, we'll come and visit!

With that, the two echidnas held on as both Ray and Knuckles glided down to the island.

Lara-le: Bye, son...be safe.

Story:

Aleena: (narrating) Some difficulties can be very strange. Especially when in races. For these people that Knuckles will meet, they must work together to stop the one known as Wizpig.

On Coco Island, a familiar bear with a bird sighed at the sight.

Banjo: This is a great day for a vacation, right, Kazooie?

Kazooie: Yeah, yeah. But when do we get to adventuring?

Then, they noticed the two tailed fox looking curious toward them.

Tails: Excuse me, are you lost on Coco Island?

Banjo: No, we just got here.

Kazooie heard snapshots before looking where the tree was before frowning.

Kazooie: Oh no, not that sicko slut.

Banjo: Kazooie!

He only chuckled a bit slightly.

Banjo: Sorry about that, Kazooie can say the wrong things at the wrong time.

Kazooie: No, I mean the slut, Berri, is on the stupid island.

There, they looked at the tall chipmunk posing for a picture with Amy taking pictures.

Tails: That's just the popular model, Berri. And she's not a bad lady. She's famous among magazines like the Station Square Interests, the How to be a Model Books, and the Fashion Tips Magazine.

Kazooie: You forgot one book.

She then pulled a book out of the bag, showing it to Tails.

Tails: Huh? Why's she in the cover of that too advanced magazine, Fur Only?

Kazooie: (frowns) Because Fur Magazine is where all those whores and hookers are at and it's a porno magazine. Not to mention that she reminds me of Paris Hilton.

Banjo only quickly covered her mouth.

Banjo: (sweatdrops) Don't mind her. She gets things mixed up...badly.

Kazooie: (to herself) I do not.

Then, Amy and the chipmunk, Berri, noticed them.

Amy: Oh, hello. Welcome to Coco Island, the best vacationing island there ever was.

Banjo: Thank you, little lady. I'm Banjo, and this is my friend, Kazooie. We've decided to crash here for a while.

Berri: Like, welcome, you two.

Kazooie: And how long have you been here?

Berri: Since this morning.

Amy: She's one of the greatest models I ever met. Someday, I hope to be like her.

Kazooie: Ugh, just what we don't need...another Britney Spears knock-off.

As they continued, the crocodile watched the model from 20 feet away.

Crocodile: Well, Charmy and Espio, the model is there.

The bee, Charmy, looked a bit disappointed.

Charmy: Why do we have to take her to Don Weazo, Vector?

Vector (Crocodile): Well, first off, money's tight, and second of all, you'll know what happens if we displease the mafia one more time.

In their image, the trio saw a furious Don Weazo shouting to the three cowering in fear.

Boss: If ya mugs fail me one more time, I'll make sure not only are ya out of the jobs, but out of your final chance to live!

Espio: (frowning) These blow offs wouldn't have happened if it weren't for you two screwing up alot. Especially you getting us involved with the mafia in the first place.

Vector: I was hungry, they bought me lunch, and I figured I owed these guys. Not to mention being in the mafia has its benefits.

Espio only groaned in frustration.

Espio: I can't stand it!

Just then, they heard a noise.

Charmy: What's that sound?

Vector: What sound?

Then, the trio were unknowingly kicked to the ground by Knuckles and Ray with Julie-su and Remmington landing.

Ray: Well, at least we're here.

Julie-su: We should ask the people of this land if everything's all right.

Knuckles: Good idea...after all, we need a guide for the island.

The four walked away, not knowing they were stepping over the trio. When they were gone, the three got up, with feet prints all over them.

Charmy: What now, Vector?

Vector: (frowns) Shut up, Charmy.

With Tails, he with the others were introducing the bear and bird to Conker, who was hiding a Fur Magazine, and Rodent.

Rodent: It's very nice to meet you, Banjo.

Conker: Yeah, yeah. Too bad there's not anymore like Berri. (notices) Wait, I do. There's a babe right over there.

The group turned, noticing Knuckles' group arriving.

Tails: Wow, echidnas. I thought they went extinct.

Knuckles: No...we're the last of our kind. My name is Knuckles, and I live on Angel Island.

Rodent & Tails: (gasps) Angel Island!?

Rodent: The same mysterious island that's hard to get to and is legendary?

Julie-su: Yes, the very same one.

Rodent: Wow, sweet!

Amy: That's really cool. I wish there was a way to see it.

Berri: Like is it all right if I go? I gotta go powder my nose.

Kazooie: Fine, go...(to herself) Whore.

Berri only frowned before leaving the area.

Banjo: So what brought you here to Coco Island anyway? A vacation?

Knuckles: No, it's something more important...I need to borrow a ship. My friends and I have to get to Robotropolis.

Amy: That horrible place? But why?

Knuckles: I have some Freedom Fighter friends waiting over there for me...hopefully, I haven't been forgotten.

Just then, crashing noises were heard.

Tails: Huh? What in the world?

The group hurried to the crashing noise before they noticed the same pig from before laughing cruelly.

Pig: Ah, bow down to me! I, Wiz Pig, have been released from my eternal prison, thanks to my comrades!

Then, to their horror, they saw a familiar green hedgehog and echidna arriving to them.

Tails' Group: Scourge!

Knuckles' Group: Lien-da!

Knuckles: What the hell are you doing on the island?

Lien-da: We made a deal with these people. And we gladly accepted.

Scourge: Nice to meet you at last, Knux. You look different from a common red mutt.

Knuckles: (anger mark) Did he just call me a red mutt?!

Banjo: Okay, I'm confused. What's the story?

Tails: Scourge nearly ruined my birthday.

Knuckles: And she worked with Enerjak to bring back the spirit of King Boom Boo!

Kazooie: They both sound pretty retarded to me. And what's the pig got to do with this?

Wiz Pig (Pig): I have been released from my prison. Didn't you hear me?! Anyway, these people have sealed me long ago...longer than anyone has remembered. Since they're dead, their descendants shall pay for what they had done.

Just then, a blast nearly hit the three foes while the three animals came to them.

Vector: Not so fast, Scourge. The Boss has a score to settle with you, especially on the account that you and your slutty worker killed some of his best men.

Scourge: Oh, I wouldn't call it that. Let's just say they're more like sleeping with the fishes.

Charmy: They're actually breathing underwater and sleeping with fish!?

Espio: (annoyed) No.

Scourge: Hmph, doesn't matter. We'll take this place.

Ray: (to Vector) You worked for Don Weazo, too!?

Vector: Now that I can explain-

Wiz Pig: Silence!

Just then, they noticed a race way appearing on each part of the land.

Wiz Pig: I shall do this the honorable way: A race. Whoever shall win shall be the next ruler of Coco Island. The runner up must serve his eternal punishment! Shall we begin?

The echidna glared as he clutched the emerald on his hand tightly.

Knuckles: I say you're nuts! We're honorable people, we don't like people who try to take over, and these good people share. As a former guardian, I will not let you do that!

Just then, the emerald began to react.

Knuckles: What?

Then, everyone winced, closing their eyes as a bright light flashed. When they opened their eyes, they gasped at some familiar medallions, only in shapes of different instruments.

Banjo: Huh? Medallions?

Then, the medallions magically attached to Banjo, Kazooie, Knuckles, Julie-su, Remmington, Charmy, Espio, Vector, and Ray.

Knuckles: What the-? Medallions?

Julie-su: Just like...the Sonic Underground's...

Remmington: (confused) But how?

Tails: The Chaos Emerald's done it again.

Ray: Again? You saw it happen before?

The four pointed to their medallions proudly.

Banjo: Wow, you got medallions too.

Charmy: But why do we have medallions, Vector?

Vector: Who knows and who cares. I bet these things and that emerald are worth a fortune.

Kazooie: Now wait a second!

Scourge: Ahem.

They glanced at Scourge, who had his motorcycle ready on the road.

Scourge: Are we going to race or not?

The group looked at one another before nodding to each other.

All: You're on!
