(Few Days Later)
Somewhere in Mobius, the group continued to search for Weslock. Manic then heard a noise.
Manic: (gasps) What was that?
Sonic: (sarcastically) It's a bird, just like the bird yesterday, and the bird the day before. Sheesh!
Manic: Hey, I'm a city boy okay?
Manic just walked up and headed to the four. He took out some bread and gave it to each of them.
Cream: Thanks, Manic.
Cheese: Chao!
Sonia, however, was a bit disappointed.
Sonia: More bread? (sarcastically) How gourmet. (as she receives her bread) So what did you do in the city, Manic?
Manic: (as he eats) I was er... in the family business. We... er... move things.
Sonic didn't look like he trusted Manic's words, however.
Sonia: Like import-export?
Cream: Maybe you're probably from some sort of mafia gang, like the one in Windy.
Sonia: (Anime glares) You mean that fat jerk, Don Weazo? Why the hell...uh, I mean heck would you think that?
Cream: I kinda heard a rumor about the weasel that was hired here last year and thought he and the boy were connected.
Cheese: (looks at her) Chao.
Sonic: (walks up to Manic) I believe, Manic, that you're a thief!
Sonia: (shocked) A thief? Oh my freakin' god!
Manic: (surprised) How did you know?
Sonic: Resistance! We gotta know about everybody!
Sonic, Cream, and Cheese headed towards the other direction while Sonia looked a little shocked.
Manic: (chuckles) Hey, don't worry, Princess, I don't steal from my family.
Sonia: Oh, I-I-I didn't mean-
Sonic: (interrupts) We were all born with silver spoons in our mouths, Sonia. You just got to keep yours!
Manic: (smirks) Yeah, I had to steal mine.
The two laughed while Sonia looked a bit frustrated. Cream & Cheese, however, were looking at another direction.
Cream: Come on, Mr. & Miss Hedgehogs, we've got a long way to go!
The hedgehogs picked up their backpacks and were about to head out until a figure appeared, swinging from the vines.
Figure: Not all that far!
Sonic turned around and saw the figure.
Sonic: Huh? Who are you?
Figure: I am Gondar, sent by the Oracle of Deluphis. I am here to train you.
Sonic: Whoa, that's perfect, 'cause we're here to be trained!
Gondar laughed as Sonic smirked. A little later, somewhere at the forest, Gondar was giving the hedgehogs, rabbit, and chao a little bit of training, starting with the punches.
Gondar (Figure): Left! Right! Left! Right!
Sonic was having a good time, training with the physical combat while Sonia, Manic, Cream, and Cheese looked tired.
Sonia: Couldn't training start at a more reasonable hour?
Manic: You got that right, I'm used to coming home around now!
Cream: (sweatdrops) And my sister always played with me at this time of hour when we're not fighting Robotnik.
Gondar: (turns to them) Here you will develop your natural abilities, and find talents hidden deep within you!
Sonic speeded from one side of the area, to the other, then to the group.
Sonic: Could we get this show on the road while I'm still young?
Sonia: (sarcastically) Wow, wouldn't it be ironic if your hidden talent was patience?
Sonic: (anger mark) What makes you say that?
The two glared at each other as Gondar spoke.
Gondar: I think now is a good time to start. (to Cream) Young lady, would you like to join us or read more of that Milk War book?
Cream sighed as she put her book down as Cheese held onto it.
Cream: I'm ready.
A bit later, the group began to train for one of the talents. Sonic was then ready to try to spin.
Gondar's Voice: Once more, Sonic.
As Sonic spun more and more, Gondar spoke.
Gondar's Voice: Focus! Concentrate! Now, a little faster!
As he spun faster, the group watched in amazement.
Gondar: Good! Good! Now, faster! Balance Sonic, balance.
As Sonic was trying to spin faster, he was heading towards the tree.
Sonic: I'm trying! I'm trying!
He then hit the tree and fell down. When the smoke cleared, Sonic was covered in dirt.
Gondar: (turns to Sonia) You see how important it is to keep your balance Sonia?
Sonia: Absolutely! Otherwise you get really dirty!
Gondar: Ah, yes. Well, let's get started. (as Sonic gets up and begins to look like he's jogging) First, speed. Sonic, (points to the mountain) see the tallest tree on the mountain over there?
Sonic: (sees it) Yeah, and?
Gondar: Go to that tree! (holds a rock) When I drop this rock, catch it before it hits the ground.
Sonic: (smirks) No problemo!
He ran from Gondar to the tree quickly.
Sonic: (from far away) Ready!
Gondar dropped the rock as Sonic rushed towards it to get it, but he went too fast as he passed the rock & hit the tree.
Sonic: (dizzily/eye swirls) Next time...I'll get it next time...
As time was passing, Sonic, Manic, and Sonia continued to train themselves with Gondar, trying and trying again with every test until they could get it right, from a Super Twirl, to drumstick throwing, to catching the rock as fast as one could. While they were doing that, Cream was reading the last of the Milk Wars book.
Cream: (thinking) "At the end of the Milk Wars, the council and its guardians surrounded Robotnik and the evil Panther King. After finding out who really caused the whole war, the two were banished from the kingdom of Weaselopolis, both swearing their revenge as both Sir Charles and the Weasel King's plans of the Roboticiser were stolen from them. After that, many of them left to become families, but soon a new war would come and Robotnik & the Panther King would try taking over the world. One of them would fall when Aleena and her children become the Council of Four, while another would fall when the Council of 24 and their guardians unite." (looks up as she speaks) I hope this whole war thing isn't really that affected against those evil tyrants.
Cheese: Chao...
She closed the book as she saw Sonia breaking the woods that were held by Sonic, Manic, and Gondar in two with her flying kick. A bit later, Manic threw his drumstick at the tree as it spun around & around until Manic caught it & threw it at the dartboard, hitting the bullseye.
Manic: (smirks) Happening!
Gondar looked proudly at him. Then, Cream was flying with her long ears, as she landed next to Cheese, holding a board. She spun around as her ears hit the board, breaking it in two.
Cream: (smiles) All right!
Cheese: (proudly) Chao!
Gondar looked proudly at her & the chao. Then, Sonic rushed toward the rock again, only that time, he caught the rock with success.
Sonic: Yes!
Then, Sonia used her Super Twirl to lift up the rock. She then threw it elsewhere, smashing it in two.
Sonia: (as she stops spinning) Yes!
The five cheered for the pink hedgehog.
Sonic: Go, sis!
Manic: Well done!
Cream: Way to go!
Gondar looked proudly at each of them and how much they trained. Back in Robotropolis, in Robotnik's HQ, Bunnie & Vanilla were held inside the room while Robotnik finished analyzing the map fragments.
Vanilla: (looks at Robotnik cautiously) What are you going to do to us, you fiend?
Bunnie: If I was untied right 'bout now, I'd show you what fo', ya fat bastard!
Robotnik: (Anime glares) Don't make me force to kill you, Rabbit Girl!
He then turned to the map fragments as he looked at the location.
Robotnik: If this location is anywhere on the planet, it will show up here!
The location was then shown on the screen as Robotnik smirks. As he spoke, he turned to the robots & bounty hunters.
Robotnik: Excellent! Let's see what kind of bounty hunters you really are! Take the two robots with you, then take my command ship and a full detachment! Get me those hedgehogs!
Bunnie: (thinking) Hope Sugah Hog will be okay...
Back in the forest, Sonic speeded away from Gondar as Cream & Cheese flew to follow the hedgehog.
Gondar: Now you, Sonia.
Sonia: (looks at him) Back in a few.
She spun away from the last two remaining on the battle ground.
Gondar: (looks at him) Manic?
Manic: I've been thinking: maybe they could do better without me, I mean Sonia can twirl, Sonic can run fast, Cream & Cheese can fly, and...
As he spoke, the two looked at the four that were having fun with their talents.
Manic: (sighs) Well, my talents just...don't exactly measure up.
Gondar: (places his hand on Manic's shoulder) Leaving would be a mistake, young friend. Soon, you'll find a talent that has been hidden. Use it to help your cause.
Manic: (smiles) Really? What is it?
Gondar: When the time comes, you will know.
Sonic, Cream, Cheese, and Sonia arrived to Gondar & Manic as the blue hedgehog spoke.
Sonic: So what now, Gondar?
Sonia: More spins?
Cream: Maybe more flying lessons.
Cheese: Chao!
Gondar: (shakes his head) No, your time here is over. Now I send you to your next teachings, children: the land of the clouds!
Sonic: Who?
Sonia: What?
Cream: Huh?
Manic: Where?
Cheese: Chao!
Gondar heard a noise, and hushed them before they could say more.
Gondar: Shh!
The five looked around as Sonic looked a bit more confused.
Sonic: (confused) I don't hear anything.
Gondar: (looking serious) Ships, approaching fast.
Inside the ship, Bocoe & Decoe were analyzing the area as the yellow robot spoke.
Bocoe: I believe we've found them and will approach there immediately.
Decoe: Yes, in one minute precise, boys.
Sleet: (smirks) Excellent. Say goodbye, hedgehog brats! (as the ships approach the forest) You're about to take a one-way ride on the Sleet Express!
Bocoe: (shocked) Sleet Express? (slaps his forehead/sweatdrops) God that is so lame!
Down below, the group was shocked when they saw the ships coming towards them.
Sonic: Robuttnik's ships!
Sleet's Voice: (from one of the ships) Surrender, hedgehogs! You have 10 seconds!
