A/N: This and Ep 26 will most likely be a non-Sonic Underground part of the fic, meaning no Sonic, Sonia, Manic, or Robotnik appearance in the fic. Anyway, I hope you Knuckles Fans and Julie-su/Knuckles Supporters enjoy this. Also, the history of Pachamac and King Boom Boo is not accurate and Ishtar is my character.

Sonic Underground Remake Ep 13: Dark Leigon
Story:
Knuckles: (narrating) Thanks to our friends, the Chaos Emeralds have been restored and separated. Little did my echidna friends, mom, Ray, and I know is that after what happened and after separating from the Freedom Fighters, we would learn about an old foe from the past and a secret society at Pumpkin Hill.
At Pumpkin Hill, the creature from the ruins finished flying as he grinned wickedly. Then, he noticed some echidnas in robes, some of them partially roboticized, as he landed on the ground.
Echidna: (bows) Lord Demitri, we have waited a long time for you.
He looked at the echidnas bowing down to him as he spoke.
Figure: My minions, at last, I have awakened. From this day forth, my name is no longer Demitri...I shall be known to this day as Enerjak!
Echidnas: All hail Enerjak!
The echidna grinned wickedly as he looked at his minions. Meanwhile, on Angel Island, Knuckles was meditating while guarding the Master Emerald.
Knuckles: The Chaos Emeralds...
In his head, he saw the images of Sonic becoming Super Sonic and removing the liquid from Chaos Dingo.
Knuckles: Why did the emeralds choose him? Was it like what happened with one of the original Council of Four member...that 300 year old squirrel?
Just then, a few figures came as Knuckles opened his eyes. He then gasped as he saw them.
Knuckles: (frowns) Hey, who are you?
They made no response as they charged toward the echidna. The figures punched, kicked, and used their staffs to try hitting the red echidna, though he evaded most of them.
Knuckles: You'll have to do better than that!
Then, a blast nearly hit him, making him dodge to the ground. He then gasped as he saw Enerjak, though not recognizing him as the evil echidna grinned, lifting the Master Emerald.
Enerjak: Knuckles, your guardian days are over! Consider this as a permanent vacation.
He then looked at his minions.
Enerjak: We leave now!
Knuckles: (angrily) Hey, come back here!
But they threw the smoke bombs down, making Knuckles cough. When it cleared, he gasped as he saw the emerald gone with them. That was when the island started shaking and began to fall into the ocean, though the island floated on the sea.
Knuckles: (frowns) Damn!
He groaned as he saw Lara-le, Julie-su, Remmington, and Ray coming to him, looking worried.
Ray: Knuckles! What happened?
Knuckles: (narrows) They took it...they took the Master Emerald!
Lara-le: Oh no!
Julie-su: What are we going to do?
He then got to his feet, then looked seriously as he noticed a new area they were near.
Knuckles: I'm going to where that echidna and those figures took the emerald, and I'm not letting anything get in my way.
Julie-su: I'm going with you.
Ray: Me too!
Remmington: Besides, you'll need our help.
He then looked at his three friends, then nodded slightly before turning to his mother.
Knuckles: Mom, please stay here and take care of the island 'til we return.
She smiled and nodded a bit.
Lara-su: Don't worry, the island will be safe until your return.
The four then headed off to the nearest ship they had. A while later, Knuckles and his friends arrived in the new area as the aircraft they were in landed. When they got out, they noticed a sign.
Ray: (reading) "Pumpkin Hill. Beware of the ghosts, especially King Boom Boo's minions." (confused) Who's King Boom Boo?
Knuckles: We're not going to stand here and wait for the answer to come.
Remmington: Let's go.
With that, the four headed off, searching for wherever the emerald was. Unknown to them, a few ghosts watched them as they disappeared, waiting to find them. As a song was sung, Knuckles, Julie-su, Remmington, and Ray searched all over the Pumpkin Hill area while unknown to them, the ghosts tried finding ways to spook them, with little to no success.

A Ghost's Pumpkin Soup
You know me, the fighting freak Knuckles,
And we're at Pumpkin Hill,
You ready?
I ain't gonna let it get to me, I'm just gonna creep,
Down in Pumpkin Hill I gots to find my lost piece.
I know that it's here, I can sense it in my feet,
The great Emerald's power allows me to feel.
I can't see a thing but it's around somewhere,
I'm gonna hold my head 'cause I have no fear.
This probably seems crazy, crazy, a graveyard theory,
A ghost tried to approach me and got leery.
Ask him a question and he vanished in a second,
I'm walkin' through valleys cryin' pumpkin in the alley.
Didn't seem happy but they sure tried to get me,
Had to back 'em up with the fist, metal crack 'em.
I'm hearing someone saying you a chicken, don't be scared!
It had to be the wind, 'cause nobody wasn't there.
I searched and I searched as I climbed up the wall,
And then I started to fly, I went in deeper!

As the last bit of the song finished, Ray noticed a staff on the ground.
Ray: What the-?
Just then, a ghost popped out of it and made a spooky face to it, making Ray panic.
Ray: AHHHH!!
The echidnas heard his scream as they ran to where Ray was. There, they saw Ray covering his eyes and turning away where the ghost once was.
Ray: Gotta be brave. Gotta be brave.
Julie-su: What happened?
Ray: A g-g-ghost. That's what happened.
Knuckles: (frowns) There is no such thing, Ray.
He then opened his eyes and noticed the ghost gone. He rubbed his eyes a little as Remmington heard something.
Remmington: I hear something, everyone.
The four then stopped and listened to what sounded like voices.
Knuckles: It must be where those emerald-nappers took the Master Emerald.
They quickly headed to where they heard the voices. Near the cliffs, they saw Enerjak and many other echidnas in hoods having a meeting as the evil leader patted the giant emerald.
Enerjak: My friends, the time will soon come when we use the Master Emerald and take back what is ours. The non-believers will pay for what they have done and for that, we will be using the Master Emerald to summon the almighty one!
They cheered while the four glared.
Enerjak: (grins wickedly) And now, the time has come, my Dark Leigon!
(Flip Card: Enerjak)
