Castle of Memories 26B

(Act 2)

A huge hole was made in the ceiling before some familiar faces came down.

Jack Spicer: Phage, man, am I glad to see you and the others all right!

Drakken: We would have found you sooner if Jack here didn’t get us lost!

Jack Spicer: Hey, you had the map last and the tracking device is last resort, you know.

Katz: Tracking device?

Mirage then noticed a small dot on Brandy’s collar, taking it off.

Mirage: You mean this one, I take it.

Jack Spicer: Yeah.

Brandy: Don’t tell me, you placed this in just in case I ran from you guys, didn’t you?

Jack Spicer: Uh, that and to make sure we find one of our own.

Wuya: Well, Mr. Phage, I see you have one of the heroes.

Phage: (nods) Yes, but unfortunately for him, he cannot control his demonic side.

He looked at Snake more before continuing.

Phage: And from the looks of it, he will need me to be his guide. At least until he is whole. That way, I can personally kill you.

Jack Spicer: (pauses) Are you sure that this isn’t-

Phage: (narrows) Say “gay moment” once more and I will make you mute, permanently!

Imax: Mr. Phage...

PBZ: So this is your decision then.

He then turned back to the three before looking at them, though only the cats, the three about to be left behind, and a groaning Snake, trying to awaken, only heard him.

Phage: Once I finish his training as a teacher, I will come back. After all, he needs to be reunited with Frog after all like the others need to be reunited with Dende, Chrono, Marle, Lucca, Robo, Ayla, Magus, Lynx, and of course, yourself with Bubbles, Schala.

Schala looked surprised.

Schala: You knew?

Phage: From the moment I stepped into this castle, I already knew...especially the connection between Ami and Imax.

Imax looked surprised at what he said.

Imax: So you knew all this time.

He then began to walk away before continuing.

Phage: Anyway, the next time you see me or my allies, you all better watch out.

He then looked at Hiram before speaking.

Phage: You must be the father of Mickey Mouse, correct?

Hiram: Yes, why?

Phage: (smirks) Aren’t you suppose to have seven heads? You are more of a deformed rat than I expected.

Jack Spicer: Ha!

Some of them snickered before Hiram glared.

Hiram: (anger mark) I’m not deformed, and I’m not a rat! Get it right!

Nutsy: It’s okay, Mr. Rat King, sir. We don’t mind that you’re deformed.

Hiram: (sarcastically) Thanks for the compliment.

With that, the villains headed back up the ship, leaving the area before the three behind looked stunned.

Imax: What do you suppose he means by “you all better watch out”?

PBZ: It means that the sooner we find what you need, the better. For now, we shall wait.

In the ship, Snake groaned before opening his eyes.

Snake: (awakens) Who’sss Frog?

He then noticed the villains before yelping.

Lust: Don’t move too much. You had a rough fight. (smirks) Besides, your fighting only made my desire to become human stronger than ever.

Snake: (confused) What’sss going on?

Phage: (walks to him) You will need some training...badly.

Snake looked down for a moment.

Phage: Besides, after what has happened, you will need it.

The reptile only sighed before taking the older one’s hand, nodding.

Snake: Fine...I’ll train...for now.

Back with Buzz, the robot finally came to the end of the halls. He stopped and frown before he spoke.

Buzz: Come on out, Virus. I can smell yew.

Kilabyte then appeared before speaking after a moment.

Kilabyte: Oh, I know what you can do. Your skill with darkness has matured splendidly as you fight. (frowns) But I don't understand...Why accept darkness and still refuse me? You and I are similar. We both follow where the darkness leads. Yes. We exist in the same space, so why deny me? Perhaps some part of your heart still fears the dark?

Buzz: (shakes his head) Yur wrong. 'De truth is...

The robot brought out his weapon once more, continuing.

Buzz: Yew just really stink.

Kilabyte: (glares) Don't be foolish. You should know what sort of power you face.

Buzz: Oh, I do. But yew forget. I used yur powers once before an' still lost to Dee Dee. All 'de power yew had 'ta give.

Kilabyte: Very well. Then...

He then powered himself up as he continued.

Kilabyte: Sink into the dark abyss!

Blackness and power were given as some of it was heading to the robot. He yelped and blocked it, though only moving slightly from it before the two were consumed by the darkness. Buzz then opened his eyes, noticing where he was.

Buzz: A forest?

He then noticed something and dodged before it could hit him. He then looked as he saw Kilabyte with his arms crossed and a huge Heartless behind himself roaring as he floated.

Buzz: Oh snap!

Buzz jumped away from the Guardian, dodging the attacks. Kilabyte continued trying to hit the robot.

Kilabyte: Submit!

Buzz: Forget it!

The two dodged one another’s attacks. Buzz slashed the Guardian, though it was blocking its master.

Kilabyte: You cannot win.

Buzz: Oh yeah? Watch me!

He then growled before powering up to his dark side. The robot then dashed, slashing toward the hybrid and Guardian.

Kilabyte: No!

The two kept fighting one another, trying to hit one another before Buzz used one of his attacks.

Buzz: DARK BALL!

It hit Kilabyte and the guardian, destroying the Heartless. The hybrid gasped before noticing Buzz floating upward. He then flew around, slashing and blasting the evil hybrid.

Kilabyte: Ugh! No!

He was hit continuously before he was finally defeated, with Buzz reverting to his normal form.

Buzz: Give up?

The robot and Kilabyte were no longer in the forest, though they were both panting with Kilabyte looking more exhausted.

Kilabyte: (angrily) Insolent brat!

He then tossed a charged dark ball toward Buzz. Buzz quickly blocked himself while the ball was pushing the robot back. He then slashed it after a moment of struggling.

Buzz: (charges to Kilabyte) VIRUS!

Kilabyte did not saw him coming as the hybrid yelped before everything flashed. Buzz landed on the ground, looking exhausted while Kilabyte winced.

Buzz: Yur finished.

Kilabyte: (angrily) Hardly...finished.

He winced a bit as he continued while Buzz looked at him.

Kilabyte: I gave you...the dark...(looks up) My shadow...lingers...I will...(struggles) I will...RETURN!

Then, a huge black energy was surrounding the hybrid as Buzz gasped. Kilabyte then exploded as Buzz tried blocking himself from the attack. He winced as everything went black.

Buzz's Voice: Delete...Cybersquad...!

After a moment, all of a sudden, a small white light came as some familiar voices were heard.

Slider's Voice: Buzz...

Shari's Voice: Hang in there...

Betty's Voice: I know you wanted to do this alone, but you don't mind a little help, right?

Then, in a flash, the trio appeared, carrying Buzz while floating up and away, out of the darkness.

In Endsville, the heroes all teleported back with the other heroes noticing.

Miroku: Everyone! You’re back!

Sango: (smiles) We’re glad you’re all okay.

Blossom: We’re just glad to be back.

Sasami, landing her ship and parking it, came out before she ran to the heroes that went missing, hugging them.

Sasami: (with tears) Oh guys! Don’t ever do that again, please!

Dora: (notices) That fox seems familiar. Who is he?

Boots: He looks like a sneaky fox, if you ask me.

Wooly: So you have succeeded then, huh? Because I notice those three still here.

Bubbles only had a worried look on her face.

Buttercup: Bubbles, what’s wrong?

Bubbles: It’s Dee Dee and the others.

Blossom: Don’t worry, they’ll be all right.

Bubbles: Girls, I don’t think I should have left their or Snake’s side.

The others only looked worried.

Sailor Moon: We know how you feel. But the Professor was getting worried about you and well...we had to find you.

Sailor Solaris: Yeah. You’re not the only one who feels that way.

Lazlo: (worried) But Delete’s our friend. He’s just as much of our friend as the Fosters gang, Jake Spidermonkey, and the Eds.

Raj: But Lazlo, if we go back, we could get into trouble.

Swiper: (frowns) I don’t care about that. I don’t even care if everyone worries, especially my grandmother. Delete needs us all.

Everyone, but Dora and Boots (who were with them), were concerned as well.

Dora: Delete?

Boots: Who the heck is Delete?

Sora: Then it’s official: We’re all going back to this Castle Oblivion together.

Grim: Oh great, why me?

Gaz: Oh brother.

Goofy: Gaz, you do miss them, don’t you?

Gaz: (groans) I guess so.

Fred: Yes.

With that, the Telezoomer was used once more.

All (but Dora & Boots): TELEZOOMER!

Swiper: We’ll come back, guys. We promise.

With that, the heroes that were together (except Dora & Boots) along with the ship were gone.

Dora: I have no idea what’s going on.

Boots: Tell me about it.

A bit later, back at the castle, the four were heading out to the same door that Delete entered earlier.

Betty: So, Buzz...what's next?

Slider: Are we going home?

Buzz then stopped as he spoke.

Buzz: I don't know if we can. (clenching his fists) It's still 'dere. His scent...(looks at his hands) it's faint, but not gone. (looks at everyone) His darkness may still have a hold o' me...

Shari: Your darkness belongs to you. Just like your light.

Betty: Until now, I thought darkness was nothing but bad, especially in Maximus' case. But my time with you made me change my mind. You've chosen a road I never thought of. Light and dark, back to back. With you, they mingle in a way no one's ever seen before. I want to see where that road leads.

Buzz looked down a bit before noticing Betty reaching her hand out to him.

Betty: And if that's okay, I want to walk that road with you, Shari, and Slider.

Slider: Well...it'd be pretty messed up if I tell my dad what really happened.

Shari: And Stumblesnore isn't expecting me home anytime soon.

Buzz chuckled a bit before reaching out to the girl's hand, then shaking it.

Buzz: Wow, Guardian, I don't know what 'ta say...

Betty: (grins) Oh, you don't have to call me "Galactic Guardian", "Atomic Girl", "Guardian" or whatever you guys call me.

Buzz: (grins) Fair enough, Betty.

With Imax, she and Schala noticed some familiar faces coming in.

Imax: Everyone, but how?

Mickey: We decided we’re all going to watch them together, even if everyone back home does worry.

Cranston: Can’t believe I got to go through with this.

Tillie: Cranston!

Grim: (sighs) I hate to say it, but everyone has agreed to watch over them.

Blossom: That’s right.

Princess: Besides, well...I guess I was kinda worried as well.

Vultureman: Princess...

They then noticed something wrong.

Tuxedo Mask: Where are the villains?

Schala: They left with Snake.

The group only looked worried.

Imax: (smiles) But don’t worry, I’m sure that he’ll come back safely when he returns from training. I know it.

Mandy: With the Teknophage, you can never tell.

Billy: Like with the whole wall thingie?

Mandy: (hits him) Will you cut that out, you nincompoop?

The others laughed a bit before Sarah spoke.

Sarah: I just hope everything goes well during Delete and the others’ recover...I hope.

Psycho: (notices) Hey, where’s PBZ?

Epilogue:

That night, with their cloaks on, Betty, in normal form, Shari, Slider, and Buzz walked together. Just then, the four noticed a familiar hybrid standing in three paths. He looked at the ones approaching before they stopped.

(ED: Come by Amuro Namie)

The robot glanced at him for a moment.

Buzz: What are yew makin' me choose now?

PBZ: (points to his left) Will you take the road to light (points to the right) or the road to darkness?

Buzz: Neither.

The other three looked at him before Buzz walked on, pass the mysterious figure.

Buzz: I'm takin' 'de middle road.

He glanced a bit before grinning.

PBZ: You mean the twilit road to twilight?

Buzz stopped for a moment.

Buzz: No...

He then turned his head, looking back at PBZ.

Buzz: 'De road 'ta dawn.

At Cyberspace, on Beachatopia, Gatomon, Megaman, Gutsman, Matt, Jackie, and Inez were playing until Roll and Gatomon stopped, noticing Ami watching the waters in the beach. Ami then looked concerned, only becoming worried. The two (also worried) along with Inez came to her, looking concerned before Ami opened her eyes and looked at the ocean once more.

Somewhere in an unknown place, Buzz, Slider, Shari, and Betty walked together. Buzz winced a bit, falling behind a bit, letting the three look at him. They were about to help him, but Buzz motioned them not to as he got up. The three looked worried as Buzz continued on. The trio then sighed before they continued together while Betty was talking to Buzz.

Back in Castle Oblivion, the masked figure with Grim were talking to both Imax and Schala as they watched the sleeping droid. Then, another figure came to them, letting the three turn and notice the figure.

In the Organization meeting, the remaining members were all having a meeting. Sixteen chairs remained empty while Suxvir prepared to start the meeting. He looked a little concerned with his hidden face.

Voiceless Voice: Fading memories...reconstructed memories...

Back in the pod, Delete remained sleeping while Imax watched the droid.

Voiceless Voice: And a dream...a dream of you in a world without you...

***

In the fake Guardia, some time later, Takato, Ruki, and Jenya came to Dende and the others as they chatted and laugh. Dende, Chrono, Marle, Lucca, Frog, Robo, Ayla, Magus, and Lynx turned and grinned.

Voiceless Voice: Walking this road without...

Later, the nine were on top of the clock tower with Dende placing his hand on the side of it, watching the place and the sun setting together.

Voiceless Voice: To remake forgotten promises...

Then, it faded to black.

Voiceless Voice: ...and meet you at road's end.
